The VEX Visualizer is a free season tracker for the VEX V5 Robotics Competition (V5RC) 2026-2027 game, Override. It follows the season from official VEX data: tournament results, qualification rankings and awards, the official skills standings, and the signature events that qualify teams for the 2027 VEX Robotics World Championship. Every team with results has a page with its season record, skills score and TrueSkill rating, a match-based rating computed by this site. Students can pick their state or region to see local teams and events first.
Start with the skills leaderboard, the TrueSkill rankings, signature event results or the Worlds 2027 qualifiers.
Two alliances (Red and Blue), each with two teams, compete on a 12'x12' field. The primary objective is to score points by strategically stacking Pins and Cups on Goals, managing field quadrants via Toggles, and physically controlling the Midfield Boundary during the Endgame. Override rewards precision and orientation over brute-force collection.
56 Cups . Hollow, hourglass-shaped with one opaque side and one transparent side. Orientation controls which colors are visible.
63 Pins . Two-toned pins that fit inside Cups:
• 20 Red/Yellow • 20 Blue/Yellow • 19 Yellow/Yellow
• Only 4 Red/Blue (highly contested!)
9 Goals . 5 Neutral (either alliance) + 4 Alliance-specific (2 Red, 2 Blue). All 9 equipped with AprilTags for vision sensor tracking.
The field is divided into four quadrants, each with a physical Toggle switch that starts on Neutral/Yellow. When an Alliance flips a quadrant's Toggle to their color (e.g., Red), every visible Yellow Pin on any stack in that quadrant instantly becomes worth 10 points for that Alliance. Yellow Pins are worth 0 points when unclaimed, but a single Toggle flip can claim multiple Yellow Pins at once.
Possession Limit: 1 Cup + 1 Pin. Robots can only hold one Cup and one Pin at any time. No hoarding. Fast cycle times are critical.
50-inch Height Limit. Standard vertical expansion cap throughout the match.
55W Drivetrain Power Cap. V5 Smart Motors are 11W each, so this means a 5-motor maximum for your drive base. You can still use remaining motor capacity elsewhere on the robot.
18-inch Endgame Height. Any robot inside the Midfield Boundary during the last 10 seconds must stay under 18 inches. Requires a mechanical transformation.
Midfield Boundary. The final 10 seconds revolve around physical control of the midfield.
8 pts per robot. Any robot breaking the plane of the Midfield Boundary when time expires earns positioning points.
Center Goal Bonus. The Alliance with the most robots inside the boundary at the buzzer claims all Yellow Pin points on the Center Goal.
Expect brawling. Heavy defense and shoving matches in midfield. Your 55W drive base needs enough traction to hold position.
